Clear geographical representation of mapped Network -
TeVISTA Enterprise provides the Network Manager with a very clear view of
their overall network i.e. UK, Europe, Global. The Hierarchical nature of
the display layers allows you to drill down from a global view to
individual devices in a few mouse clicks making it easier to interpret
what is happening on the network at any given point in time. It fully
integrates with TeVISTA Professional and Expert providing a complete
network monitoring and troubleshooting utility.
A
comprehensive SNMP Manager - The vast majority of
manufacturers of networking equipment incorporate some form of SNMP
management into their products, which means that TeVISTA Enterprise allows
the Network Manger to see faults, and performance of all such SNMP enabled
devices on their network. This includes the management of faults, the
configuration of devices, the gathering of performance statistics, and the
security of all SNMP manageable devices on the network.
Java
Console - The main management console of TeVISTA
Enterprise is Java enabled thereby allowing authorised users on the
network to browse to the console using a standard web browser interface.
This means that information relating to the network can be viewed from any
location.
Trending
- TeVISTA Enterprise is able to gather statistics on any MIB variable over
extended periods allowing trending information to be displayed in a
graphical format. Typically this is used to review the utilisation of Wide
Area Links, or the health of servers deployed around the network.
Reports
- Due to the highly configurable nature of TeVISTA Enterprise
reports (other than Trend Reports) can be generated on any MIB variable,
allowing information such as network errors to be displayed in a tabular
format.
Alarms
- TeVISTA Enterprise has the ability to generate alarms on any
number of user definable parameters. This could simply be as a result of
not getting a response to a poll issued by the management console or due
to a user defined threshold having been exceeded e.g. disk capacity on a
server. Alarms can be issued in a
number of formats, from the playing of an audio file, to the generation of
an SNMP trap, to the sending of a message to a pager, ensuring that the
network management team can be kept fully informed of anything affecting
the network.
MIB
Interrogation - TeVISTA Enterprise is supplied with a
large number of different manufacturers MIBs to ease initial
configuration. In addition Enterprise has the ability to fully compile
MIBs from manufacturers not included in the base configuration allowing
any MIB variable to be monitored from within the system.
