HSRmon- is
a low bandwidth, high efficient protocol that allows real time management
of TeVista Visibility Agents over a low speed connection; for the IT
manager it would be like managing a remote site as if he was literally
next-door.
SNMP
Analyst - A one size fits all view of your switches and
routers, the SNMP Analyst is a software module within TeVISTA Professional
that allows you to quickly connect to a switch or a router and spot any
areas of concern e.g. a build up of CRC errors that may suggest an 'auto
negotiation' problem between Switch and PC. Additionally
the SNMP Analyst allows users to identify which ports devices are
connected to by means of their MAC address allowing the Network Manager to
quickly identify the source of rogue devices or packets on their networks.
Crystal
Reports - TeVISTA Professional uses Crystal Reports to
generate a number of standard reports within its screens. These reports
can be viewed in real time, historically, or can be exported to a number
of different formats for external manipulation.
Alarms
- TeVISTA Professional has comprehensive alarm notification
features alerting the Network Manager to any number of conditions or
events taking place on the network. These alerts can be generated via
Email or SNMP and sent to either individuals or to other, framework
management systems.
Alien
Node Alarm - Sends Alarm to relevant person when a foreign
device is added onto the Network / or a device is taken off the network.
Packet
Capture - TeVISTA Professional provides the user with the
ability to connect to any local or remote TeVista Visibility Agent and to
invoke a packet capture. This trace file can then be brought back to the
main management console using HSRmon for analysis. Point and shoot
technology incorporated into TeVISTA Professional ensures that the Network
Manager is able to gather precisely the right amount of information
relating to a remote segment, device, or conversation. Filters are
automatically configured thereby alleviating the complexity that can
sometimes be associated with this type of activity. For
those hotspots on the network that require closer monitoring the TeVista
Visibility Agent also has the ability to conduct a continuous packet
capture using a predefined buffer that can store information over an
extended period. Should an event occur that is worthy of investigation the
Network Manager can simply connect to the TeVista Visibility Agent and
pull back a “bite sized chunk” of data relating to the time when the
event occurred.
